Shop-Floor Reality Over Software Slogans

ERP Reality Check was established to bridge the structural divide between theoretical software models and the physical realities of discrete manufacturing.

Founder & Practice Director

Sajjad Ahmed is a Mechanical & Materials Engineer and ERP Systems Analyst with extensive hands-on experience bridging manufacturing floor operations and enterprise data architecture.

Having spent substantial time inside machining bays, fabrication workshops, and assembly plants, he combines engineering physics (metallurgy, tooling tolerances, cycle times) with rigorous software systems architecture across SAP ECC/S4, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SYSPRO, proALPHA, and Frappe/ERPNext.

Based in Kaiserslautern, Germany — home to prominent industrial engineering institutions and Mittelstand research hubs.

Our Non-Negotiable Core Principles

  • 1. Shop Floor Before Slide Decks: Truth lives at the spindle, the cutting bed, and the assembly bench. We don’t diagnose problems from air-conditioned meeting rooms.
  • 2. Zero Software Commission: We do not sell ERP software licenses and refuse partner commissions. Our fiduciary duty is 100% to the manufacturer.
  • 3. Fix Root Causes, Not Symptoms: If your bills of materials are dirty and your routings are uncalibrated, buying a newer ERP will simply accelerate the chaos.
  • 4. Pragmatic Mittelstand Speed: We deliver structured, measurable assessments in days, not open-ended multi-month consulting retainers.

What We Do Not Do

  • No Software Sales: We do not sell ERP licenses or accept finder fees from software vendors. We never push a specific system.
  • No Body Leasing: We do not provide generic multi-year IT contractor staffing or generalist body leasing.
  • No Premature Re-Platforming: We do not recommend expensive ERP replacements when the root issue is uncalibrated shop-floor processes and unmaintained master data.

Direct Access, Executive Confidentiality

All diagnostic assessments and strategic QA reviews are conducted with strict mutual non-disclosure agreements, protecting your proprietary manufacturing techniques, part pricing, and supplier arrangements.
